Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include executing failure analysis tasks, reporting results, and improving FA workflows.
- Perform electrical and physical failure analysis for device anomalies, customer returns, and qualification failures.
- Operate advanced FA tools (FIB, SEM, EDX, ion milling, CSAM, 2D/3D X‑ray, Emmi systems, micro-prober, bench testers).
- Analyze test-data failures and scripts in a Unix environment (Bash/Python) to support investigations.
- Interpret electrical signatures and physical defects to determine failure mechanisms and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with process owners, product teams, and multi-functional stakeholders to drive improvement actions.
- Develop and implement new FA techniques, automation, and AI-enabled tools to reduce turnaround time and improve accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement and enforce standards for FA workflows and documentation.
- Maintain strict lab safety protocols, chemical handling guidelines, and +6S standards in the FA lab.
- Prepare detailed FA reports, maintain traceability records, and present findings to requestors, MRB, and cross-functional teams.
- Provide guidance to FA technicians, manage workload distribution, and coordinate with vendors for tool upgrades.
