Job Title
Test Engineer
Role Summary
Develop, optimize, and qualify automated test solutions for analog power integrated circuits to support manufacturing at scale. Work with automated test equipment (ATE), test software and hardware, and cross-functional partners to ensure test coverage, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Experience Level
Entry-level β 1+ years of experience in IC test engineering or a related technical role.
Responsibilities
Own development and transfer of production test solutions for analog power ICs.
- Develop and debug automated test programs for analog/mixed-signal ICs on ATE platforms.
- Design, build, and qualify load boards, probe fixtures, and other test hardware.
- Characterize test coverage, correlation, and capability during new-product qualification.
- Optimize test time and cost while meeting quality and coverage targets.
- Translate device specifications into test algorithms with design and validation teams.
- Support transfer of test programs and hardware to manufacturing test sites.
- Analyze test data to identify escapes, outliers, and opportunities for quality improvement.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills for successful execution of the role.
-
Must-have: 1+ years of experience in IC test engineering or a related technical role.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience developing test programs for analog or mixed-signal ICs on ATE platforms (Teradyne, Advantest, or equivalent).
-
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of automated test hardware design (load boards, probe cards, test fixtures).
-
Nice-to-have: Programming proficiency in C/C++, Python, or ATE-specific languages (e.g., FLEX, IG-XL).
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with analog measurement techniques (supply current, output regulation, switching frequency, noise) and power-management IC architectures.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with statistical process control, test data analysis, and Design for Testability (DFT) for analog ICs.
-
Nice-to-have: Strong collaboration skills and ability to drive test development on tight schedules.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree as stated in the posting).
