Experience Level
Professional. Typical requirement: 2 years of RF development/test experience. One year may be acceptable with an advanced degree or relevant graduate credit.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing, validating and supporting production test solutions for RF semiconductor products.
- Design and debug final test hardware and software for WiFi front-end modules (FEMs).
- Develop and troubleshoot test applications on production ATE platforms (examples: Cohu, National Instruments).
- Implement RF test methodologies: modulation, power servo, EVM, ACPR, P1dB, SEM, switching speed, gain.
- Correlate ATE test results with lab bench measurements and review datasheets and equipment specifications.
- Provide software and hardware support to prototype test work centers to meet sampling and product lifecycle needs.
- Maintain test documentation and follow product lifecycle tools and processes.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Experience with RF semiconductor devices and RF test concepts (modulation, power servo, EVM, ACPR).
- Proficient programming skills in C++ and C# for test software development.
- Hands-on experience with production ATE systems (e.g., Cohu, NI) and test automation.
- Measurement experience for RF parameters: Gain, EVM, SEM, P1dB, switching speed.
- Familiarity with RF components: amplifiers, mixers, attenuators, filters, couplers, isolators, VCOs, synthesizers, oscillators.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software interactions and correlate test and lab results.
- Experience supporting prototype and production test environments and reviewing test specifications.
