Test Automation Engineer

Role Summary

Design, build, and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks and infrastructure to validate performance and reliability of next-generation connectivity chips.

Work with hardware designers, system architects, and validation teams in the Manufacturing organization; position is based in Kallithea (Athens), Greece.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 2 to 3 years of professional software development or test automation experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and operating automated test systems and integrating them with lab equipment and CI/CD.

• Design, scale, and optimize Python-based automation frameworks.
• Develop automation scripts to validate connectivity chip functionality.
• Implement drivers and integrations to control laboratory instruments and test setups.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Support users of the platform, assist test development and execution.
• Debug framework failures and analyze complex test automation logs.

Requirements

Required technical skills and experience.

• 2–3 years of professional software development or test automation experience.
• Strong production-grade Python skills (OOP, scripting, common libraries).
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitLab.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Networking protocols knowledge (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, L2/L3).
• Familiarity with lab automation protocols and libraries (VISA, SCPI, PyVISA).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
