Job Title

Tegra Manufacturing Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work on the Tegra Manufacturing & Test (TSG) team to develop hardware and software solutions for board- and system-level testing of embedded and automotive products deployed at contract manufacturers (CMs).

Collaborate with hardware, software, and operations teams to qualify equipment and automate test flows for production.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 5+ years of relevant engineering experience supporting hardware/software test and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing automation, diagnosing failures, and supporting manufacturing test deployment.

  • Design and build tools to automate product definitions, data collection, test execution, and results analysis.
  • Diagnose Tegra test failures at board and system level; work with HW, SW, and operations teams to resolve issues.
  • Qualify equipment, fixtures, and tooling for use in NVIDIA manufacturing models.
  • Implement data automation and test tools with contract manufacturers to realize embedded/automotive product test automation.
  • Develop and provide feedback on debug tools for embedded/automotive products.
  • Follow up on ICT/FCT test setups, diagnostic packages, and failure-trace documentation with CMs.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience to perform the role; follow-on items are beneficial.

  • Must: 5+ years of related engineering experience in product test, diagnostics, or manufacturing support.
  • Must: Hands-on board-level debugging and use of probing hardware; experience with lab instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter).
  • Must: Strong knowledge of low-level software drivers and kernel-level software.
  • Must: Effective written and oral English communication; able to work across functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience programming/debugging MCUs or FPGAs.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with scripting or programming (VB, Shell, Java, Perl, Python).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with test plan development, failure analysis, and running system-level diagnostics.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automatic Control, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical field (as stated in the posting).
