Technology Research 2D Transistor Engineer Intern
Role Summary
Work on process development, process integration flows, equipment configuration, and transistor electrical characterization to support yield and process improvement in semiconductor manufacturing modules. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize metrology, troubleshoot process issues, and support high-volume manufacturing continuous improvement.
This is an internship with hands-on lab and project work intended to build skills and applied experience.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities for this internship include:
- Contribute to module process development and process integration flows.
- Configure and support equipment for manufacturing modules.
- Perform electrical characterization of transistors and analyze data to drive yield or process improvements.
- Analyze defect data, design and run experiments, and assist in risk assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize metrology strategies and troubleshoot process flow issues.
- Support continuous improvement activities in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Learn and apply laboratory practices under supervision and complete internship project deliverables.

- Must-have: Research experience related to semiconductor materials or semiconductor device characterization.
- Must-have: Comfortable working in a lab and cleanroom environment and following lab safety procedures.
- Nice-to-have: Semiconductor process knowledge and semiconductor device physics understanding.
- Nice-to-have: Device test and data analysis experience (e.g., DLTS) and experience measuring devices on a cryo-prober.
Education Requirements
Must be actively pursuing a PhD in a hard science discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science. Research experience related to semiconductor materials is expected. Preferred academic indicators include a GPA of 3.0 or higher. (No alternative "equivalent experience" language specified.)
