Technology Architecture and Competitiveness Engineer (2027 New College Graduate)

Role Summary

Member of the Technology Architecture and Competitiveness Structural Analysis (TAC_SA) team supporting technology competitiveness through reverse engineering, design compaction, migration techniques, and technology definition optimization.

Collaborate with design, lab, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver market insights and identify opportunities for technology and design improvements.

Experience Level

Entry-level — New college graduate (0–1 years). Suitable for recent graduates.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical analysis, design support, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Conduct reverse engineering analysis and teardowns; produce reports for market and competitive analysis.
• Support design migration and compaction using tools and automation; explore AI-enabled coding and automation solutions.
• Collect, analyze, and visualize data to support technology benchmarking and structural analysis projects.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on technology scaling, design optimization, and competitiveness initiatives.
• Perform all work in accordance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) requirements.

Requirements

Must-have skills, required conditions, and preferred qualifications.

• Must-have: English fluency (written and verbal); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to travel up to 10%.
• Must-have: Experience with data collection, analysis, and visualization.
• Nice-to-have: Prior related internship or co-op experience and demonstrated leadership in projects or teams.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, KLayout, Calibre, statistical methods, Python or other programming languages.
• Nice-to-have: Understanding of semiconductor device operation, basic circuit design, processing technology, and design rules.
• Nice-to-have: Project management, planning, and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Education Requirements

Graduating with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited program. Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA.
