Technical Student Intern

Role Summary

Work with senior engineers in NXP's Bangkok manufacturing organization to support design, development, testing, and laboratory validation of semiconductor products and related projects. The role focuses on hands-on technical tasks, data collection and analysis, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration on engineering initiatives.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for current undergraduate or graduate students; prior professional experience not required.

Responsibilities

Support engineering teams with technical tasks and project work.

• Assist senior engineers with design, development, and testing of semiconductor products.
• Conduct research, collect and analyze project data, and document results.
• Set up and run laboratory experiments; operate lab equipment and simulation tools as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and schedules.
• Participate in technical reviews and problem-solving discussions.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support engineering initiatives.

Requirements

Core skills and attributes expected from candidates.

• Basic understanding of digital and/or analog electronics concepts.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java) - preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Prior experience with laboratory equipment or simulation tools - a plus.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
