Technical Project Lead, SPE

Role Summary

The Technical Project Lead (TPL) in System Product Engineering (SPE) leads cross-functional engineering projects for NVIDIA's networking products, from requirements through production and end-of-life.

The TPL coordinates hardware, firmware, software and test teams; manages integration, production ramp and failure analysis; and ensures test coverage, quality and yield improvements for network adapters and high-speed switch systems.

Experience Level

Senior β€” Proven experience of 10+ years in electronics/system engineering, production or test engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Lead technical and program activities across SPE to deliver reliable products and increase production capacity and quality.

  • Build and execute integration plans; communicate status, priorities, risks and mitigations across teams.
  • Lead the project lifecycle from requirements, through chip design and firmware, to manufacturing and end-of-life.
  • Manage bug prioritization, tracking and knowledge transfer within SPE.
  • Drive environment improvements and automation to reduce risk and improve test stability and throughput.
  • Collaborate with program management on schedules and adjustments.
  • Evaluate and introduce new testing technologies and capabilities.
  • Work with design-for-test (DFT) and testing architecture teams to ensure coverage and proper test setups.
  • Coordinate failure analysis of returned material and lead quality/yield improvement efforts.
  • Report project status to senior management and engage with R&D, hardware, software, chip design, operations, thermal, signal integrity, firmware, layout and suppliers.

Requirements

Key must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Must-have: 10+ years of practical experience in electronics/system engineering, production, or testing processes.
  • Must-have: Hands-on integration skills, self-task management and broad electronic knowledge relevant to production and test.
  • Must-have: Experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
  • Must-have: Ability to supervise and track progress of multifunctional teams and individual tasks.
  • Must-have: Strong interpersonal skills, proactive mindset, ability to multitask, organize work and learn quickly.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with automation, machine learning or advanced statistical analysis applied to manufacturing quality (if available).

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering (Electrical/System Engineering) specified.
