NVIDIAJob Title
Technical Program Manager, Silicon Product Definition
Role Summary
Lead and coordinate the end-to-end lifecycle of silicon and system development projects from bring-up to mass production. Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations, marketing) to drive schedules, resolve technical execution issues, and deliver product milestones.
This role requires strong program execution skills and hands-on semiconductor product experience; the focus is practical delivery rather than research.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 7+ years with a BS or 5+ years with an MS in semiconductor, board, or system program management (see Education Requirements for degree details).
Responsibilities
Own execution and coordination for silicon-based product programs, ensuring milestones, risks, and cross-team alignment are managed to deliver product ramps.
- Lead full product lifecycle for silicon-based products: planning, milestone delivery, validation, and ramp to mass production.
- Define project objectives, technical requirements, and deliverables with engineering, design, and marketing partners.
- Provide technical guidance on chip, board, and system development and resolve execution challenges.
- Maintain technical requirement collateral, datasheets, and feature statements of record.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans to meet timelines and budgets.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate communication across cross-functional teams and present status updates to senior stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of program management processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Key technical and program-management requirements.
- Proven track record managing complex microelectronics and tightly coordinated system projects from concept to delivery.
- Hands-on experience in development of silicon-based products (chips, board, and systems).
- Deep understanding of silicon product development, board development, software integration, and product definition engineering (PDE).
- Experience making hardware product feature tradeoffs and driving feature decisions; GPU product experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication; able to coordinate multiple technical and business teams effectively.
- Self-directed, motivated, able to balance and prioritize multiple tasks under schedule pressure.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience. The posting specifies 7+ years of relevant program management experience with a BS, or 5+ years with an MS.
