Job Title

Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Test

Role Summary

Member of the Manufacturing Test Engineering team based in Sunnyvale, CA. Lead manufacturing test programs (hardware and software) from new product introduction (NPI) through qualification, production ramp, and sustaining.

Act as the interface between engineering and manufacturing partners to convert test capabilities into qualified, repeatable, high-volume production flows.

Experience Level

Senior. Minimum specified: 3+ years of technical program or project management experience in a hardware, electronics, or semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, coordination, risk management, and operational tracking to deliver manufacturing test readiness at scale.

  • Own manufacturing test programs end-to-end across board, sub-module, and system-level testing from NPI to sustaining.
  • Define and drive program plans: milestones, dependencies, critical path, and entry/exit gates.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with test, hardware, software, manufacturing operations, quality, and external partners.
  • Integrate test readiness, risks, and dependencies into broader product programs with other program TPMs.
  • Maintain a living risk register; escalate and drive issues to closure with clear owners and dates.
  • Manage qualification-to-production handoffs, ensuring validated, controlled, and clean promotions to the line.
  • Run the operating cadence: reviews, status reporting, and metrics (yield, test time, throughput, capacity) to inform decisions.
  • Plan test capacity and readiness ahead of production ramp.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience.

  • 3+ years of technical program or project management experience in hardware, electronics, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional programs to schedule, including with teams outside your direct reporting line.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing test and the NPI-to-production lifecycle.
  • Technical fluency across test hardware and test software sufficient to partner with engineers and make trade-offs.
  • Strong, data-driven communication for both technical and leadership audiences.
  • Experience managing risks, metrics, and production handoffs in a high-reliability manufacturing setting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred certifications mentioned: PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent. The posting explicitly accepts equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.
