Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure

Role Summary

Own end-to-end program delivery for Etched's Infrastructure organization, coordinating internal teams (DevOps/DevX, Core Engineering, Security, IT) and external vendors to deliver hardware and software integration programs on schedule and to quality standards.

Establish KPIs and operational cadences, surface risks, translate technical complexity for leadership, and continuously refine processes to increase engineering velocity. This is an in-person role based in San Jose (Santana Row).

Experience Level

Senior — typically 8–10+ years of technical program management experience, preferably in hardware, semiconductor, or AI technology environments.

Responsibilities

Drive cross-functional programs by ensuring visibility, alignment, and timely delivery across teams and vendors.

  • Lead program planning, schedules, milestones, and dependency tracking across the Infrastructure organization.
  • Coordinate collaboration between DevOps/DevX, Core Engineering, Security, and IT.
  • Manage external vendor and supplier relationships to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Identify risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on timelines and quality.
  • Define, track, and report KPIs and program metrics; run regular status cadences and executive updates.
  • Refine program management processes to improve engineering and operational efficiency.
  • Translate technical issues (ASIC, hardware, software integration) into clear status, risks, and action items for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-disciplinary technical and operational blockers in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Core skills, experience, and tools required to perform effectively in this role.

  • 8–10+ years delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs; experience in hardware, semiconductor, or AI environments preferred.
  • Deep technical fluency with ASIC design, hardware platforms, and software integration.
  • Proven ability to establish program cadences, KPIs, and reporting for executive and engineering stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills; able to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating external delivery.
  • Familiarity with program management tools and methodologies such as Google Workspace and JIRA.

Education Requirements

Listing in the source: a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred. PMP certification is cited as a desired credential.
