Technical Program Manager, ASIC

Role Summary

Lead cross-functional, multi-site teams to deliver ASICs for Meta's Infrastructure Engineering organization. Partner with engineering, product, hardware, firmware and vendor teams to define roadmaps, manage execution from concept through production, and ensure high-quality silicon and firmware delivery.

Experience Level

Senior - requires extensive ASIC domain experience (10+ years) and program/product or engineering management experience (2+ years).

Responsibilities

Lead program execution across design, validation and production while coordinating across multiple functions and vendors.

• Manage cross-functional infrastructure programs across silicon engineering, platform software, hardware systems, sourcing & operations and vendors.
• Drive ASIC development and subsystem delivery with vendors from concept to production.
• Provide hands-on program management through all phases: concept, design, development, fabrication, validation, qualification and production release.
• Engage stakeholders to define product development roadmaps and functional requirements.
• Drive program execution to deliver high-quality ASIC solutions on schedule.
• Identify and implement process improvements across teams and functions.
• Coordinate requirements and constraints with software, hardware and architecture teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical and program-management qualifications, followed by preferred skills.

• Must-have: 10+ years of experience in ASIC development.
• Must-have: 2+ years of experience in program/product management or engineering management with proven leadership delivering products.
• Must-have: Experience managing ASIC design flow: architecture, micro-architecture, RTL, synthesis, functional verification, physical layout.
• Must-have: Experience in pre-silicon testing (emulation, FPGA) and post-silicon validation.
• Must-have: Proven stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination, and ability to connect technical details to the big picture.
• Nice-to-have: Hands-on RTL design (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) and modern design verification methodologies.
• Nice-to-have: Experience working with ODMs/vendors and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with ML training/inference silicon, data center architecture, and integrating AI tools into workflows.
• Nice-to-have: Semiconductor start-up experience and demonstrated responsible/ethical AI practice implementation.

Education Requirements

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another technical field (as stated in the posting).
