Technical Program Manager, ASIC
Role Summary
Technical Program Manager (TPM) leading cross-functional, multi-site teams to deliver ASICs that support Meta's Infrastructure Engineering organization. The role owns program definition, roadmaps, execution and coordination across silicon, firmware, software, hardware systems and external vendors.
Reports to the Group Technical Program Manager; responsible for driving ASIC projects from concept through production and ensuring delivery quality and schedule adherence.
Experience Level
Senior β requires substantial industry experience. The posting specifies 10+ years in ASIC development and 2+ years in Program/Product Management or Engineering Management.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage ASIC programs across functional teams and external vendors.
- Manage cross-functional infrastructure programs across Silicon Engineering, Platform Software, Hardware Systems, Sourcing & Operations and vendors.
- Drive ASIC development and their subsystems with vendors from concept to production.
- Provide hands-on program management across silicon and firmware phases: design, fabrication, validation, qualification and production release.
- Engage stakeholders to define product development roadmaps and align priorities.
- Drive program execution to deliver high-quality ASIC solutions on schedule.
- Identify and implement internal process improvements across teams and functions.
- Coordinate with software, hardware and architecture teams to reconcile requirements and constraints.
Requirements
Must-have technical and program management experience.
- 10+ years of experience in ASIC development.
- 2+ years of experience in Program/Product Management or Engineering Management with proven leadership delivering products.
- Proven ability to manage both technical details and high-level strategy.
- Experience managing the ASIC design flow: architecture, micro-architecture, RTL, synthesis, functional verification, physical layout.
- Experience with pre-silicon testing (emulation, FPGA) and post-silicon validation.
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship building and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and cross-functional leadership.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on RTL design experience (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) and modern design verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with semiconductor technology, manufacturing processes and working with ODMs/vendors.
- Experience with data center architecture and deployment.
- Experience with ML training or inference silicon and systems, or semiconductor start-up experience.
- Experience integrating AI tools to optimize workflows and familiarity with responsible AI practices.
Education Requirements
BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another technical field (specified in the posting). No additional certifications were listed.
