Technical Program Manager
Role Summary
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Program Management Office (PMO) plans and manages processor core IP development programs from engineering scoping through product release. The role coordinates cross-functional engineering, software, tools and product teams to deliver processor IP and related software on schedule and at required quality.
The TPM defines schedules and resourcing, identifies and mitigates risks and dependencies, and provides consistent program-level reporting to stakeholders.
Experience Level
Mid-level.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, tracking, communication and cross-team coordination.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to develop schedule, resourcing plans, and program milestones.
- Create and maintain execution plans; identify critical paths, program risks and issues from planning through delivery and support.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities, track dependencies, and drive teams to meet schedules and goals.
- Participate in technical discussions and resolve high-level project issues.
- Lead task and issue reporting, and drive issue resolution.
- Provide consistent program status communication and reporting to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the improvement of project, program management, and product lifecycle processes.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or preferred for successful candidates.
- Experience with CPU technology and associated software and tools development.
- Ability to facilitate technical discussions and drive engineering decisions.
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong organization, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Experience managing hardware development programs and familiarity with AGILE methodologies (preferred).
- Experience with project and program management tools and processes for planning and execution (nice to have).
- Must be able to pass background and reference checks; right to work in India and export-control authorization may be required.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
