Technical Product Marketing Engineer
Role Summary
Technical, customer-facing engineer responsible for product definition, system-level problem solving, and global business development for Allegro's Magnetic Current Sensing portfolio. The role translates customer system challenges in high-voltage power conversion and motor drives into detailed IC requirements and supports product roadmaps from concept through release-to-market.
Experience Level
Mid-level - 2 to 6 years of experience in systems engineering, applications engineering, or technical product marketing within the semiconductor or electronics industries.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on technical product definition, customer engagement, and cross-functional execution.
- Serve as the technical bridge between customers and IC design teams; translate system-level requirements into IC specifications and technical concept proposals.
- Engage with lead customer engineering teams to solve high-voltage power conversion and control challenges and drive technical design-ins.
- Collaborate with engineering and marketing leadership to define and execute the technical product roadmap for the Magnetic Current Sensing portfolio.
- Lead IC development activities from product concept through Release-to-Market, ensuring system-level performance and cost targets are met.
- Work with global sales and Field Application Engineers to communicate system-level value propositions.
- Develop technical collateral: application notes, reference designs, and thought leadership for key high-voltage segments.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and work expectations.
- 2β6 years' relevant industry experience in systems engineering, applications engineering, or technical product marketing (semiconductor/electronics).
- Hands-on understanding of power and control systems, specifically high-voltage power conversion, motor drives, or magnetic sensors.
- Proven customer-facing experience: able to present complex technical concepts to engineering teams and executives.
- Strong cross-functional project execution and organizational skills; ability to drive projects to closure.
- Willingness and ability to travel globally (US, Europe, Asia) to support customer engagements and corporate events.
- Preferred: experience working with sales/FAE teams and authoring technical collateral or reference designs.

Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
