Job Title

Technical Product Manager - Principal

Role Summary

Lead product strategy and delivery for design automation and AI-driven workflows used in semiconductor design. Work with engineering teams and customers to define product requirements, validate solutions, and drive adoption across analog, custom digital, and standard-cell design domains.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Candidates are expected to have extensive product and domain experience in semiconductor design, EDA, or related technical fields.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include defining product requirements, engaging with customers, and guiding engineering teams to ship production-ready solutions.

  • Define product requirements and workflows for next-generation design automation solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather requirements, validate solutions, and drive adoption.
  • Drive product direction across analog design, standard cell design, custom digital implementation, design migration, and automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering to translate requirements into deliverables and production software.
  • Define use cases, success metrics, benchmarks, and customer adoption strategies.
  • Lead evaluations, demos, early-access deployments, and customer engagements.
  • Prioritize roadmap items based on market needs, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • Experience in semiconductor design, EDA, or closely related technical fields.
  • Track record defining solutions, workflows, or products that were delivered to users or customers.
  • Experience applying automation, AI, machine learning, generative AI, or agentic AI to engineering workflows.
  • Strong understanding of one or more domains: analog & custom IC design; standard cell design and optimization; physical implementation; design migration and reuse; physical verification, extraction, and simulation.
  • Experience working directly with customers to gather requirements and drive technology adoption.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with analog/custom IC workflows, circuit simulation (SPICE), DRC/LVS, parasitic extraction, and OpenAccess-based environments.
  • Familiarity with commercial EDA platforms (for example, Cadence Virtuoso) and delivering software used in production semiconductor design flows.
  • Proven technical leadership and experience with cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. (Degrees explicitly requested in the source.)
