Role Summary

Lead the design, implementation, and adoption of standardized JIRA workflows, automation, integrations, and analytics to improve engineering execution across Arm's semiconductor development lifecycle.

This role partners with engineering and program teams (front-end design, verification, implementation, validation, power, performance, software, and program management) to deliver workflow automation, dashboards, and data-driven reporting.

Experience Level

Senior - expects 8+ years of relevant experience; technical leadership and cross-team partnership experience required.

Responsibilities

Deliver and maintain JIRA-based workflow and automation solutions and provide technical leadership for engineering process improvements.

  • Define and deploy standardized JIRA workflows, defect tracking, issue taxonomy, and engineering governance across multiple engineering domains.
  • Design, develop, and extend the Atlassian platform (JIRA, Confluence) including custom workflows, automation rules, integrations, and extensions.
  • Create integrations and APIs to connect JIRA with enterprise engineering tools, CI/CD systems, and engineering databases.
  • Build web applications and dashboards that surface project health, defect trends, milestone readiness, dependencies, and execution metrics.
  • Develop data pipelines and reporting solutions using Atlassian and enterprise engineering data sources.
  • Drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate across organizations to standardize processes and drive adoption.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.

  • Extensive experience administering and developing solutions on the Atlassian platform (JIRA, Confluence), including familiarity with architecture, database schema, REST APIs, workflows, permissions, and automation.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for scripting, API development, and database querying.
  • Experience developing modern web applications and dashboards using frameworks such as React, Angular, Flask, or similar.
  • Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; experience working across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience designing integrations, automation, and extensions to improve engineering productivity and scalability.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in semiconductor or EDA environments and knowledge of the SoC development lifecycle (Design, Verification, Implementation, Validation, Power, Performance, Software, Program Management).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem apps such as ScriptRunner, Assets, Structure, or EazyBI.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree (Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field) or equivalent practical experience. The posting specifies 8+ years of relevant experience as an alternative to degree-only requirements.
