Job Title

Technical Engineering Intern - Design Verification

Role Summary

Internship on the design verification team to support verification of semiconductor IP and SoC designs. The role focuses on writing and running verification tests, developing testbenches, performing simulations, analyzing coverage, and debugging functional issues.

Full-time, 6-month onsite internship in Hanoi (Dec 2026–May 2027).

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Suitable for current undergraduate or graduate students; no prior professional experience required beyond relevant coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute verification testcases using SystemVerilog and UVM, including constrained-random tests and functional coverage analysis.
  • Run simulations with industry-standard EDA tools, analyze results, and debug functional issues.
  • Assist in building and improving verification environments and testbenches; implement verification IP for standard interfaces.
  • Create and analyze functional coverage models to measure verification completeness and reduce design risk.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, and validation teams and document findings.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Basic understanding of digital design fundamentals: combinational/sequential logic, finite state machines, clocking, and reset concepts.
  • Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification.
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies, preferably UVM.
  • Familiarity with verification techniques: testcase development, constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and debugging.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and simulation tools.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and clear written/verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.

Nice-to-have:

  • Assertion-based verification (SVA) experience and coverage-driven verification techniques.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Shell, TCL) and version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard protocols such as PCIe, UCIe, DDR, AXI, APB, AHB, SPI, I2C, or UART.
  • Experience with FPGA or hardware verification projects.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
