Team Leader - RF/Analog Analysis & Characterization
Role Summary
Lead a small engineering team responsible for pre- and post-silicon analysis, bring-up, debugging and performance characterization of RF, analog and PHY building blocks across transistor to system level.
The role supports design teams by finding and resolving issues, defining test and DFT strategies, and delivering validated performance data and datasheet parameters.
Experience Level
Senior - posting specifies greater than 3 years of experience in RF/analog or chip design; the role expects leadership experience managing others.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include laboratory bring-up, debugging, analysis and team leadership.
- Manage and lead a team performing pre- and post-silicon activities for RF, analog and PHY circuits.
- Perform circuit- to system-level analysis to ensure functional and performance specifications are met.
- Identify pre-silicon issues and define DFT and mitigation strategies.
- Define and implement RF/analog driver fixes and fixes during bring-up.
- Bring up chips in the lab, debug silicon issues, and optimize performance.
- Develop automation and tooling for analysis, debugging and data collection.
- Analyze statistical measurement data and produce formal datasheet parameters.
- Support and advise design teams to mitigate complex issues.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership capabilities; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- Must-have: Experience managing people or matrix teams (managed at least 1–2 people or equivalent).
- Must-have: >3 years experience in RF/analog system design or chip design, with proven silicon debugging experience.
- Must-have: Strong experience with RF/analog testing equipment and lab-based chip bring-up.
- Must-have: Strong verbal and written English, good interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to set and meet goals and deadlines.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Cadence Virtuoso (schematics and layout).
- Nice-to-have: Experience defining automation/tooling for data collection and statistical analysis.
