Experience Level

Mid-level - typically requires 3+ years of hands-on hardware and firmware debug and system validation experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute validation test plans for server platforms and modules.
  • Perform electrical and functional validation of interfaces and components (power sensors, MCUs, I2C, SPI, SMBus, PCIe).
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues during NPI builds to support timely product launches.
  • Debug and root-cause hardware, firmware, and interoperability problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reproduce, analyze, and drive resolution of hardware/software issues.
  • Automate repetitive test procedures and collect validation data.

  • Strong fundamentals in circuit analysis, digital design, and computer architecture.
  • Practical lab experience with board bring-up and debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters).
  • Ability to diagnose board-level failures, signal integrity issues, component-level faults, and firmware interactions.
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment and independently driving investigations.
  • Experience with automation and scripting to support validation activities.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with high-speed bus protocols (PCIe, USB, NVMe) and low-level system architecture.
  • Experience in system-level power management validation for CPU and GPU products.
