Systems Engineer, SEM Robotics

Role Summary

Provide system-level solutions for robotics perception, sensing and edge AI by creating reference designs, technical collateral, and system-level test data. Engage with customers and collaborate with sales and business-unit partners to demonstrate and enable TI products in humanoid robotics applications.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” approximately 5 years of relevant engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on customer engagement, system design, validation, and demonstration for robotics and edge AI solutions.

  • Engage with customers to define system requirements and propose solutions across devices, board design, and software integration.
  • Develop reference designs, demos, and technical collateral to support proofs-of-concept and design wins.
  • Perform system-level board design tasks including schematics, layout review, prototype bring-up, testing and validation.
  • Integrate and demonstrate solutions on robotics and edge-AI platforms and SDKs.
  • Collaborate with sales, business units, and cross-functional teams to drive customer adoption.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and system-level test data.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Approximately 5 years of relevant engineering experience working on system-level designs.
  • Experience in system-level board design, schematics, layout review, testing and validation.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and prototype board bring-up.
  • Strong understanding of analog and embedded-processing ICs and their system application.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate with customers.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience configuring, debugging, and adapting embedded software and firmware for demos and reference designs.
  • Experience with robotics and edge-AI platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson or Isaac Sim.
  • Familiarity with schematic-capture simulation tools and part selection using data and calculations.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and project time-management skills for on-time delivery.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (listed as required).
