System Software Manager - Power Profiling and Infrastructure
NVIDIAJob Title
System Software Manager - Power Profiling and Infrastructure
Role Summary
Manage and scale a cross-site team responsible for power measurement, profiling infrastructure, and regression farms that validate power and performance-per-watt across discrete GPU and data-center platforms.
Own lab operations, measurement methodology, and the infrastructure that produces defensible power data used for release decisions and OEM qualification.
Experience Level
Senior level. The posting requests 8+ years of overall industry experience with 5+ years of engineering management experience.
Responsibilities
The manager will lead people and programs to deliver power measurement, qualification, and infrastructure across product lifecycles and sites.
- Lead, grow, and mentor a distributed power and infrastructure engineering team across Pune and Bangalore; set roadmaps and ownership.
- Drive power profiling across the product lifecycle: pre-silicon engagement, power target qualification, regression monitoring, battery-life validation, and release qualification.
- Own and operate a temperature-controlled, instrumented measurement lab across two sites: DUT fleet management, board procurement, instrumentation, DAQ, and capacity planning.
- Define measurability requirements from pre-silicon through production: instrumentation, rail maps, sensors, DAQ adapters, telemetry, and measurement prerequisites; escalate when needed.
- Quantify and attribute power gaps, lead root-cause analysis, coordinate fixes with software and hardware owners, and deliver qualification data for go/no-go decisions.
- Collaborate with OEMs and external software partners to align methodology, co-engineer battery-life targets, and consolidate bug/analysis streams.
- Own the team's tooling and compliance deliverables: profiling framework, analytics dashboards, automated regression farms, and energy-regulation evidence.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 8+ years of industry experience.
- 5+ years of engineering management experience delivering complex software and infrastructure across distributed teams.
- Deep knowledge of power systems, computer architecture, and SoC/platform power with hands-on experience in power measurement, analysis, or power-stack debugging.
- Experience running or closely supporting a hardware measurement lab (instrumentation, device fleet, logistics).
- Proven ability to engage across program lifecycles from pre-silicon modeling through bring-up, qualification, and sustaining.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team, partner, OEM, and executive interactions.
- Commitment to measurement quality and producing defensible data for product decisions.
Nice-to-have (standout) experience.
- Hands-on DAQ-based rail capture, on-board sensor validation, or telemetry-driven regression triage.
- Knowledge of Windows on Arm or client SoC battery-life methodology and Modern Standby measurement.
- Experience in silicon bring-up power profiling (firmware sensor validation, first-power baselines).
- Background building power regression infrastructure or large-scale automated test/analysis pipelines.
- Experience applying AI/agentic workflows to lab automation, failure triage, or reporting.
- History of cross-company lab convergence and shared tooling between multiple validation labs.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (the posting specifies BS or MS). The posting pairs this education expectation with 8+ years of industry experience.
