Role Summary
Undergraduate internship on a system software team within Intel's Data Center Group. The role contributes to development and optimization of firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, and reference platforms for Intel platforms.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Assist in design, development, and validation of system software across firmware, drivers, OS, and middleware.
- Debug system-level issues and optimize cross-stack software performance.
- Prototype proofs-of-concept and perform software modeling.
- Support creation of reference platforms for specific domains and market segments.
- Apply disciplined execution, testing, and documentation practices to deliver quality solutions.
- Explore 3D graphics and software–hardware full-stack debugging techniques.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Proficiency in C or C++.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Basic understanding of computer architecture and software development processes.
- Interest in problem-solving and debugging software-related issues.
- Exposure to 3D graphics, GPGPU pipelines, or APIs such as OpenCL, Vulkan, or OpenGL.
- Effective English communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with scripting languages (Python).
- Familiarity with Linux OS architecture and device driver models.
- Interest in AI, game development, or computer graphics.
- Fast learner and adaptable to new technologies.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing an undergraduate (Bachelor-level) degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
