System Simulation Engineering CO-OP
Role Summary
Work on executable software models that simulate IP and SoC hardware to support architectural exploration and pre-silicon firmware development and validation. Join an engineering team focused on model design, implementation, testing, infrastructure, and customer support.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and test executable models of IP and SoC hardware.
- Support architectural exploration and pre-silicon firmware development and validation.
- Develop and maintain simulation infrastructure and tooling.
- Debug models and collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Provide internal customer support, documentation, and training for models and tools.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development practices.
Requirements
Minimum and preferred technical qualifications and constraints.
- Approximately 3+ months of relevant experience obtained via coursework, projects, internships, or similar.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies.
- Experience programming in C or C++.
- Preferred: embedded software development experience (ARM, RISC-V, x86).
- Preferred: scripting experience (Python, TCL, or similar).
- Preferred: strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to legally work in Canada; this position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Education Requirements
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree (undergraduate co-op) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, or military service.
