Job Title

System Level Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

The System Level Product Development Engineer develops and validates system-level test methodologies, characterizes silicon, and drives yield and spec validation for complex semiconductor products. This role works within the System Level Product Engineering team and partners with ASIC, DFT, ATE, silicon validation, fab process, software, and quality teams to resolve silicon issues and improve processes.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical requirement: 5+ years of relevant product engineering or hardware systems experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on test development, characterization, and cross-functional resolution of silicon issues.

  • Develop and implement test methodologies for system-level test (SLT) and post-silicon validation.
  • Characterize devices, validate specifications, and drive yield-enhancement efforts.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and initiate process improvements and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with ASIC, DFT, ATE, silicon validation, fab/process, software, and quality teams to resolve issues.
  • Improve workflows, tools, and methodologies to increase team productivity and product quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes.

  • 5+ years of relevant product engineering or hardware systems experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience performing root-cause analysis.
  • Effective interpersonal and written/oral communication skills; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with large-scale data analysis using Python or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with PC architecture, PCIe, and DRAM/DDR is a plus.
  • HBM/GDDR memory experience is a plus.

Education Requirements

BSEE or MSEE (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
