Role Summary

The System Integration Engineer is responsible for validating hardware reference designs and their embedded software at the system level to ensure the product meets market requirements and KPIs. The role works on a system integration bench to verify components, sub-components, and end-to-end system behaviour against product targets.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include system-level validation, KPI mapping, and ensuring product compliance.

• Validate HW reference designs with embedded software on the system integration bench.
• Map target market KPIs to system-level test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Plan, execute and document integration and system tests; track results against product targets.
• Analyse failures, perform root-cause investigation and support remediation activities.
• Coordinate validation of components and sub-components to assure end-to-end system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, software, test engineering) to close issues and meet delivery milestones.

Requirements

• Practical experience in system integration and validation of hardware and embedded software.
• Familiarity with test benches, integration test equipment, and execution of system-level test campaigns.
• Ability to map product KPIs to system tests and to quantify compliance to product targets.
• Experience debugging system-level issues and performing root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across engineering teams.
• Preferred: experience in automotive radar or automotive systems, scripting for test automation (e.g. Python), and knowledge of automotive qualification processes.
