System Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Hands-on engineering role responsible for integrating, testing and delivering complex multi-disciplinary semiconductor equipment developed in Rehovot. The team conducts system integration for tools prior to shipment, supports R&D prototypes and new product introductions, and interacts with customers for installation and acceptance.
Primary mission: ensure systems meet specifications, schedule, and quality requirements through integration, verification, troubleshooting and on-site support.
Experience Level
Entry-level / New college grad. Guidance: 0β3 years of relevant technical experience in system integration or similarly complex technical environments.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include system-level integration, verification and field support across mechanical, electrical and optical subsystems.
- Lead and execute full system integration to meet specifications, delivery schedules and quality targets.
- Perform module- and system-level testing, functional verification, calibrations and complex troubleshooting.
- Conduct in-house customer acceptance tests and travel to customer sites for installation and on-site support (up to ~10%).
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and optical sub-assemblies; work from schematics, diagrams and plans.
- Develop, complete and maintain test procedures, logbooks and quality notifications; document findings clearly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design, build and test of production assemblies and NPI systems.
- Identify and implement procedural, safety and process improvements; follow safety and security policies.
Requirements
Must-have practical, hands-on skills and basic professional attributes for system integration in a production/NPI environment. Nice-to-have skills are noted when applicable.
- Practical, hands-on experience with testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electromechanical and optical systems (must-have).
- Experience or exposure to system-level integration projects or other high-complexity technical work (must-have).
- Ability to read and work from schematics, diagrams and technical documentation (must-have).
- Strong written communication for test procedures and documentation (must-have).
- Team player who is proactive, creative and able to work independently with continuous improvement mindset (must-have).
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations and support (up to 10%) (must-have).
- Familiarity with semiconductor equipment processes, safety practices and production support (nice-to-have).
Education Requirements
Practical Engineer diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. The posting targets new college graduates and accepts 0β3 years of relevant technical experience as an alternative to formal degree requirements.
