Role Summary

Join a software development team that implements AI/ML enablement on embedded microprocessors used in automotive and other embedded applications. The role focuses on prototyping, optimizing, and embedding deep learning algorithms and supporting toolchains for high-performance, resource-constrained systems.

Responsibilities

Key day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Evaluate state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms and feasibility for embedded deployment.
• Analyze algorithms, build prototypes, and implement optimizations for performance and resource use.
• Develop embedded software for applications, demos, and algorithm integrations using C/C++.
• Work with parallel programming frameworks and compiler toolchains; contribute to tooling and framework usage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate and validate solutions.
• May perform security-related tasks and work within security certification scopes; requires reliable and conscientious work practices.

• Must-have: Experience programming in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Working knowledge of operating system concepts (memory management, multitasking).
• Good oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; self-motivated and able to work in a team.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience with deep learning frameworks, model training, or model optimization.
• Familiarity with parallel programming languages/frameworks such as CUDA or OpenCL.
• Experience developing software on embedded systems with a High Level OS or RTOS and cross-compilation workflows.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Tcl, Perl) is a plus.
