System Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate system hardware for NVIDIA GPU and Tegra-based products used in GPU cards, servers, automotive, robotics, industrial PCs, and consumer electronics. Work with hardware, firmware, and software teams to move designs from concept through bring-up, debug, and release to manufacturing and partners.
Experience Level
Mid-level engineer; posting specifies 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include system-level hardware design, validation, and release.
- Design system hardware around GPU and Tegra SoCs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance cost, performance, and schedule under guidance of system and product architects.
- Lead initial test, hardware bring-up, and debug efforts.
- Create schematics, supervise PCB layout, and conduct system validation.
- Produce documentation required for manufacturing and partner release.
- Optimize circuits and functions to improve performance and reduce cost.
- Improve design flow in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 5+ years of system or board-level design and validation experience.
- Proven experience in PCB design and design review.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments and with Windows OS.
- Strong analytical abilities and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Education Requirements
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
