Role Summary
Join Siemens EDA Solido Custom IC Support to help customers integrate and use the Solido Simulation Suite and Solido Design Environment in their circuit design and verification flows. This customer-facing role provides technical support, troubleshooting, training, and works closely with R&D to resolve product issues.
Experience Level
Mid-level — requires 3+ years of experience in applications/support engineering, transistor-level circuit design, or verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer support, technical enablement, and content development.
- Assist customers integrating Siemens EDA Custom IC verification tools (Solido SPICE, Solido Design Environment, Symphony) into circuit design and verification flows.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and benchmark evaluations to support product adoption.
- Diagnose, reproduce, and resolve complex technical issues on customer designs; collaborate with R&D when necessary.
- Develop training materials, documentation, and self-service knowledge-base content.
- Provide customer training and hands-on support to improve customer productivity.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
Requirements
Core technical and interpersonal qualifications.
- Must-have: Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, analog/mixed-signal circuits, SPICE models, and circuit simulation for full-custom IC design and verification.
- Must-have: Hands-on experience with SPICE circuit simulators and working in Linux environments.
- Must-have: Scripting experience in Python, TCL, or bash.
- Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and effective written and verbal communication.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Solido Simulation Suite, Solido Design Environment, or similar EDA tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
