Supervisor, Prototype Test/DPS
Role Summary
Lead a night shift team in the GO Prototype Operations organization supporting die processing services (DPS), module assembly and electrical test for quick-turn manufacturing. The role focuses on driving production output, quality, yield and fast turn-around for internal customers.
The position reports to operations management and works closely with process and equipment engineering to resolve issues and meet production schedules.
Experience Level
Senior / Management level. The posting indicates management-level responsibilities; candidates should have multiple years of manufacturing experience (see Requirements).
Responsibilities
Primary duties on a 12-hour night shift in an ISO-compliant electrical test and die processing environment.
- Supervise and lead nonexempt employees on a 12-hour night shift (approx. 6:50pmβ7:00am).
- Monitor work-in-process and manage production flow to minimize bottlenecks and reduce cycle time.
- Coordinate with process and equipment engineering to troubleshoot and resolve production problems.
- Drive operator productivity, operational efficiency, adherence to specifications and product quality.
- Manage training, coaching, development and performance of direct reports.
- Oversee material movement and production scheduling to meet customer turnaround requirements.
- Perform administrative duties related to shift operations and adapt to shifting priorities and scheduling needs.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred.

Must-have: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; effective written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to manage operations in a high-tech environment.

Preferred: 2+ years managing employees; experience coaching and developing direct reports; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows-based software.

Preferred: Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and an analytical background.

Preferred: Knowledge or experience with Theory of Constraints, Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing practices.

Other: Scheduling flexibility to cover required shift hours; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Education Requirements
BS degree in Management, Business or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred; the posting allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.
