Role Summary

The Summer Intern in CPU Power Analysis will assist in measuring CPU performance and power characterization as well as conducting competitive analysis using industry standard benchmarks and workloads in sub-4nm process for mobile applications. This role involves direct interaction with devices for measurement and data collection.

Experience Level

Internship level; suitable for graduate students.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting performance and power analysis for CPU designs.
  • Collecting and measuring data with physical interactions with devices.
  • Performing competitive analysis with industry-standard benchmarks.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

  • Graduate student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in scripting programming.
  • Knowledge of IC implementation flow and EDA tools such as PrimeTime, PowerArtist, and others.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of Verilog/System Verilog and CPU micro-architecture.
  • Experience with Perl/Tcl scripting and low power intent concepts.

Education Requirements

Graduate students majoring in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
