Research Scientist Intern, Silicon Performance Architecture (PhD)

Role Summary

The Research Scientist Intern in Silicon Performance Architecture will work with the Reality Labs team, which aims to deliver Meta's vision through AI-first devices utilizing Mixed and Augmented Reality. The role focuses on enhancing performance modeling and guiding architecture for custom silicon in AR/MR devices.

Responsibilities

The intern will be responsible for:

• Building APIs and custom wrappers to integrate performance modeling components.
• Developing test suites to verify the functionality and performance of models.
• Identifying optimization areas to enhance simulation infrastructure.
• Conducting performance and power explorations of architectural components.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

• Current pursuit of a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python programming.
• Understanding of computer architecture, including NoC, DRAM, Cache, MMU.
• Familiarity with performance modeling and architectural exploration.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment.
