Staff Validation Technologist for EPYC and AMD Instinct
Role Summary
Senior technical contributor responsible for end-to-end validation strategy, architecture, and execution for AMD EPYC and AMD Instinct platforms. The role owns validation at scale across distributed farm environments, driving automation, coverage strategy, and product-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
Accountable for validation architecture, strategy, and the technical execution needed to ensure customer-ready platforms.
- Define and evolve validation coverage strategy to maximize bug discovery and minimize customer escapes.
- Design and own validation architecture and automation for distributed farm environments.
- Develop and improve content, tools, and scripts to increase validation efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assess customer escapes, translate findings into structured test plans, and close coverage gaps.
- Evaluate customer impact of gaps and define risk mitigation prior to production.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure features are validated and delivered on schedule.
- Debug issues across bring-up, validation, and production phases of SoC programs.

Must-have:
- Substantial pre-silicon and post-silicon validation experience, including system-level validation.
- Demonstrated experience in validation architect or lead validation roles (Client, SoC, or Server).
- Hands-on system architecture knowledge and technical debug experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven leadership, communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have:
- Programming/scripting experience (examples: C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).
- Experience driving tooling, procedural, or methodology improvements in validation organizations.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
