Staff Testing Engineer
Role Summary
Lead testing strategy and execution for Deltaflow, Riverlane's quantum error correction stack, focusing on both hardware and software quality as the product moves toward real-world deployment. You will own test strategy, integrate testing into CI/regression pipelines, and raise testing standards across the team.

Responsibilities
Own and implement end-to-end testing practices that ensure reliability of hardware and software components.
- Define and maintain comprehensive test strategies for hardware and software systems.
- Develop, extend and integrate testing frameworks into CI and continuous regression workflows.
- Create clear test documentation and share findings to improve engineering practices.
- Collaborate with verification and validation teams to reproduce and resolve defects.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers; allocate responsibilities and enforce testing rigor and consistency.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.
- Proven experience testing complex hardware (FPGA/ASIC) and software systems.
- Experience writing test plans and translating requirements into test strategies.
- Proficiency in Python 3.x.
- Expertise in test automation and CI integration (GitHub CI preferred).
- Experience embedding tests into CI pipelines and continuous regression workflows.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership experience in mentoring or guiding engineering teams.
- Nice-to-have: experience with quantum hardware/software or domain-specific testing for scientific systems.
