Staff Test Product Development Engineer — ATE Test Engineering (Fuse Development)
Advanced Micro DevicesJob Title
Staff Test Product Development Engineer — ATE Test Engineering (Fuse Development)
Role Summary
Senior test engineering role responsible for ATE fuse and security module solutions for a next-generation AMD product. The role covers pre- and post-silicon test strategy, characterization, silicon bring-up, test program validation, yield and cost optimization.
Experience Level
Senior. The posting does not state a specific years-of-experience requirement.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for ATE fuse and security test solutions across product lifecycle.
- Define characterization and test coverage strategies during pre-silicon and execute test plans on silicon.
- Develop pattern requirements and drive design verification deliveries for fuse/security modules.
- Design wafer- and package-level fuse modules for test programs and validate test programs during silicon bring-up.
- Perform device characterization, circuit sensitivity analysis, root-cause investigations, and recommend mitigations.
- Lead debug and validation of firmware/hardware bring-up and low-level HW/SW co-debug across boot and init flows.
- Interface with Product, Design, Security, Platform Engineering, Device Analysis, Quality and Reliability teams for failure resolution.
- Optimize test content and test cost to meet product quality, yield, and margin objectives in production.
- Foster new test/DFT/DFM concepts and drive them to delivery.
Requirements
Core expectations and preferred skills.
- Must-have: Experience in semiconductor test engineering with strong foundation in DFT and ATE test methodologies across pre- and post-silicon phases.
- Must-have: Experience developing and debugging fuse and security modules and related test patterns.
- Must-have: Firmware bring-up and low-level hardware/software co-debug skills.
- Must-have: Strong programming ability in one or more of: Python, Java, Perl, or C++.
- Nice-to-have: ATE class/method development experience (preference for Advantest 93K) and test development across full product cycles.
- Nice-to-have: Understanding of Hardware Security Module (HSM) architecture, and experience with Mentor, Synopsys, or Cadence EDA or system-level testing.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
