Job Title
Staff Technical Program Manager
Role Summary
Operational and program lead within Arm's Solutions Engineering Group supporting SoC development programs and two engineering functions (Technology IPs; Compute, Methodology and Automations). Acts as the central operational anchor to enable planning, coordination, tracking and cross-functional execution for distributed engineering and operations partners.
Primary focus: run operational cadences, maintain program schedules and trackers, surface risks, and drive resolution to ensure on-time delivery across multiple teams and geographies.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Role requires significant program, operations, or project management experience; no specific years of experience stated.
Responsibilities
The role is responsible for organizing operational cadences, maintaining program artifacts, tracking execution and ensuring follow-through across verification, validation and delivery activities.
- Own and run key operational cadences (staff meetings, quarterly operational reviews); set agendas, track actions, and ensure closure.
- Manage resourcing artifacts: headcount planning, hiring status and alignment with finance/workforce processes.
- Track decisions, commitments, dependencies, risks and open issues across cross-functional discussions to prevent items being lost.
- Act as an operational partner to leadership: anticipate needs, surface risks, and drive cross-team resolution.
- Maintain and update program schedules, trackers and execution dashboards (e.g., Microsoft Project and shared trackers).
- Drive execution hygiene: action tracking, follow-up, escalation of critical issues and closure.
- Organize and maintain clear program documentation and repositories.
- Support follow-up and closure of open actions, risks and issues across verification and validation activities.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for successful candidates, plus optional skills that are beneficial.
Must-have
- Proven experience in program, operations or project management, preferably in semiconductor or technology environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational workflows involving multiple teams and customers across geographies.
- Strong organizational skills with a track record of driving execution, follow-through and accountability.
- General knowledge of design-to-product flows, EDA tools and automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize information and communicate clearly at all levels.
- Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
Nice-to-have
- AI tooling experience.
- Prior ASIC design or SoC integration experience (bus protocols, memory controllers, clocks, I/O, debug, security).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent practical experience; posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. No certifications were specified.
