Role Summary
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Meshing R&D team you will design and implement meshing algorithms and tools, provide technical leadership, and integrate GenAI/LLM-based tooling to improve developer and user workflows. The role is part of R&D Engineering and is located in Pune, India.

Senior-level (Staff). This role expects a proven track record of technical leadership and deep domain expertise.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and optimize C++ meshing algorithms, data structures, and libraries.
- Lead architecture, design reviews, and technical direction for meshing components.
- Integrate GenAI/LLM capabilities to automate or augment meshing workflows and developer tooling.
- Prototype and evaluate novel algorithms, numerical methods, and tooling approaches.
- Improve performance and scalability, including parallel and GPU implementations where applicable.
- Mentor and guide engineers, collaborate with product, QA, and cross-functional teams.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to internal IP and design artifacts.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Extensive professional experience in C++ development (modern C++ preferred).
- Strong background in computational geometry, meshing, numerical methods, or related algorithms.
- Experience with performance optimization and parallel programming (multithreading, distributed compute, or GPU).
- Solid software engineering practices: version control, testing, debugging on Linux.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and work across teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication for design and documentation.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience integrating ML/GenAI or LLMs into engineering tools or workflows.
- Python, CUDA/OpenCL, or prior EDA/tooling experience.
- Research experience or publications in meshing or related fields.
