Role Summary

As a Staff Software Engineer on the automotive software productization team, you will lead development of CI/CD and productization infrastructure for firmware, drivers, and low-level system software targeting next-generation compute subsystems for software-defined vehicles.

You will lead technical initiatives across firmware, system, integration, validation, and infrastructure teams to deliver stable, automated, and release-ready software delivery pipelines.

Experience Level

Senior - 12+ years of relevant experience in SoC/embedded software development and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Architect and evolve scalable CI/CD and productization infrastructure for firmware, drivers, and low-level system software.
• Design and operate build, integration, automated testing, packaging, and release automation pipelines.
• Maintain pipeline availability, stability, observability, and rapid failure recovery to enable continuous delivery.
• Develop automation and test infrastructure to address hardware–software integration challenges.
• Write and review high-quality Python and Bash code; take end-to-end ownership from architecture through deployment and operation.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with software leads, architects, and program management across domains.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Extensive hands-on experience in system firmware and embedded software development.
• Proficiency in Embedded C and Python and/or Bash.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Arm architectures, open-source development workflows, versioning, licensing, and software delivery practices.
• Experience architecting and maintaining CI/CD for large, multi-component repositories, including build systems, dependency and variant management, automated testing, packaging, and release automation.
• Strong system-level debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Proven ability to enable continuous delivery with a focus on pipeline automation, observability, and release readiness.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Zephyr, Yocto, Bazel, Copybara, Git, Jenkins, repo-based workflows, or test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with TF-A, TF-M, U-Boot, Xen, ROS, or similar system software projects.
• Experience in automotive, robotics, functional safety, embedded security, or complex SoC/system domains.
• Experience leading teams responsible for CI/CD.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering is required; the role specifies 12+ years of experience in SoC/embedded software development and CI/CD. No certifications were specified.
