Role Summary

As a Staff Design Modeling Engineer on the Digital Subsystems team, you will define and implement cross-discipline modeling frameworks for architecture exploration and virtual hardware development. You will collaborate with hardware and software architects to validate future product designs and enable IP and platform development.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on developing models and virtual platforms, enabling architectural analysis, and providing technical leadership.

• Architect and develop hardware/software solutions to meet product requirements
• Implement functional models to support IP development
• Create performance models for architectural analysis
• Develop and maintain virtual hardware platforms for simulation
• Propose and evaluate hardware architecture improvements
• Write application- and driver-level software to validate models
• Define and maintain the modeling framework and associated tooling
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior modelers

Requirements

• Must-have: Proficiency in C or C++ and knowledge of object-oriented concepts
• Must-have: Experience with Embedded C or Assembly
• Must-have: Experience in hardware architecture or modeling
• Must-have: Experience working in a Linux environment and writing scripts; able to build executables and libraries from source
• Must-have: Experience with a modeling framework (examples: Renode, SystemC, Modern C++, Python-based frameworks)
• Nice-to-have: Experience with CMake, Visual Studio Code, and RTL simulation software
• Nice-to-have: Digital design and verification experience
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with revision control systems and continuous integration

Education Requirements
