Job Title
Staff SoC Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify complex Arm-based IP, subsystems, and SoCs by developing scalable verification solutions and owning end-to-end verification execution. Work with architecture, design, firmware, emulation, FPGA, validation, and post-silicon teams to deliver first-time-right silicon.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 10+ years of IP, subsystem, or SoC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver and execute verification strategies, frameworks, and closure for IP, subsystem and SoC projects.
- Develop and execute verification strategies for IP, subsystem, and SoC designs.
- Verify CPU, PCIe, DDR, security, coherency, memory subsystem, and interconnect functionality.
- Perform power-aware verification and system scenario / performance validation.
- Own verification deliverables from planning through verification closure, meeting quality and schedule targets.
- Architect, develop, and maintain reusable verification environments, verification IP, methodologies, and automation.
- Create verification plans, test cases, and coverage-closure strategies; drive functional, code, toggle, assertion, and coverage closure.
- Debug RTL, testbench, integration, and system-level issues.
- Collaborate across architecture, design, firmware, emulation, FPGA, validation, and post-silicon teams.
- Use automation, scripting, and AI-assisted workflows to improve verification productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Strong Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, and modern verification methodologies.
- Experience with Arm-based SoC concepts: coherency, interconnects, memory hierarchy, and UPF.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting for test automation and coverage analysis.
- Proven RTL and testbench debug skills and experience driving coverage closure.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication; able to work cross-functionally.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with CHI, ACE, AMBA, PCIe, DDR, or security IP.
- Familiarity with assembly programming, formal verification, emulation, FPGA, gate-level simulation, or post-silicon validation.
- Experience with AI-assisted verification and working in globally distributed teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (for example Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science) as stated in the posting.
