Staff SiC Device & Process Engineer
Role Summary
Senior engineering role focused on development of silicon carbide (SiC) power devices and their fabrication processes. The role sits within the power semiconductor development team and supports device design, TCAD simulation, process integration, wafer-level electrical characterization, and reliability qualification for SiC JFET and MOSFET products.
Experience Level
Senior - minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience in power semiconductor technology development.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities are device design, process development, characterization, and reliability verification for SiC power devices.
- Design and TCAD simulation of advanced SiC power JFETs and high-voltage SiC MOSFETs.
- Develop and define fabrication process flows and unit process specifications; coordinate with fab process teams.
- Develop PCM/TEG monitoring structures and perform wafer-level electrical characterization of devices and test structures.
- Plan and execute process experiments to optimize manufacturing windows and improve production yield.
- Lead device reliability qualification and implement reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners to integrate device and process developments.

- Must-have: Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience in power semiconductor technology development, including fabrication process integration, device simulation, and electrical characterization.
- Must-have: Proven experience leading development projects across device design, process integration, and characterization.
- Must-have: Strong TCAD simulation experience for power (wide bandgap) semiconductor devices.
- Must-have: Experience with electrical characterization at wafer level and defining process specifications.
- Must-have: Familiarity with analysis tools such as MATLAB or MathCAD for process and device characterization.
- Preferred: Knowledge of semiconductor materials applied to power devices and prior experience with SiC device reliability qualification.
