Job Title
Staff Semiconductor Test Engineer β PMIC
Role Summary
Lead development and execution of automated test (ATE) programs and test hardware for power-management ICs (PMICs). Provide technical leadership in test methodology, debug, and validation for analog, digital and mixed-signal devices within the manufacturing/test organization.
Accountable for designing test solutions, troubleshooting failures, coordinating across teams, and delivering production-ready test flows for PMIC products.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Preferred 5β12+ years of experience in ATE test development and semiconductor test engineering.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include hands-on test development, mentoring, and cross-team coordination:
- Design, develop, and maintain ATE test programs and test hardware for PMICs (analog, digital, mixed-signal).
- Debug and characterize analog power-management ICs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers and ATE instruments.
- Reduce PCB parasitics, design fixture/test hardware, and validate test coverage for production.
- Provide technical leadership and act as subject-matter expert; may lead or direct other engineers on projects.
- Set schedules, track milestones, identify readiness gaps, and resolve priority conflicts with stakeholders.
- Analyze test data and define criteria for pass/fail, yield improvement, and test optimization.
Requirements
Core technical skills and hands-on experience required. Education details are in the Education Requirements section below.
Must-have:
- 5β12+ years working with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and in ATE test development for analog/digital/mixed-signal devices with emphasis on PMIC testing.
- Proven debugging and troubleshooting experience for analog products and test systems.
- Hands-on experience with ATE analog/digital instruments and test hardware development.
- Experience programming test code or scripts (examples: C++, Python, Perl, BASIC).
- Experience collecting and analyzing IC test data using standard lab instruments.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with PCB layout parasitic reduction and fixture design.
- Experience debugging devices with serial-bus interfaces.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
