Job Title

Staff Program Manager

Role Summary

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering multiple medium-complexity semiconductor programs from initiation through delivery. Works with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders to manage schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, risks, and program metrics.

Part of the Engineering Services Group, Program Management; drives alignment across teams, implements process improvements, and reports program status to senior leadership.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 8+ years program management experience; semiconductor industry experience of 12+ years or equivalent is preferred. Experience working with senior leadership and in large matrixed organizations is desirable.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include program planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication:

  • Develop and maintain program Plan of Record: schedules, scope, resource and budget forecasts, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple medium-sized programs or single complex programs to meet on-time, on-budget, and within-scope objectives.
  • Identify program risks, maintain risk tracker, and drive risk mitigation plans.
  • Establish and monitor key program metrics; drive corrective actions when metrics deviate from plan.
  • Secure and align resources to meet program demands and coordinate across engineering, validation, packaging, and customer deployment teams.
  • Drive stakeholder communication, promote program vision, and obtain buy-in from sponsors and senior leadership.
  • Promote and implement process improvements and program management best practices across teams.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Program/project management experience with responsibility for schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables (minimum 3–8+ years depending on role level).
  • Experience managing program financials and operating budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with PM tools and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) and experience building dashboards and Gantt charts.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions with significant impact, and perform advanced data analysis for program decisions.
  • Track record of leadership, process definition, and implementation in engineering programs.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in SOC design cycle, post-silicon validation, packaging, and customer deployment.
  • Experience in large matrixed organizations and working with director-level or senior leadership.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is listed as required. Master’s degree in a related engineering field is preferred.
