Staff Product Testing Specialist
Role Summary
Responsible for driving yield improvement, reducing test costs and ensuring manufacturability and quality of semiconductor devices across product lifecycle. Interfaces with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factories and OSAT partners to diagnose issues, implement corrective actions and support product qualification and sustaining activities.
Experience Level
Senior level - requires more than 7 years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Product Engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include production support, root-cause analysis and engineering activities to maintain and improve test yield and product quality.
- Review low-yield production lots and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factories and OSAT to resolve production issues and ensure production flow.
- Execute sustaining activities (e.g., EQA hold rate reduction, SYL/SBL sustaining) to meet delivery commitments.
- Lead qualification and validation of new products and tester platform migrations.
- Support gross margin improvement initiatives focused on yield and test cost reduction.
- Participate in system integration and reliability/failure analysis tasks.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.
- >7 years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing in test/product engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of test methodology for analog, digital and power products; experience with failure analysis and reliability testing.
- Proficiency with statistical data analysis tools (for example JMP, Spotfire).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across functions.
- Project management skills to lead engineering and sustaining activities.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with module devices.
- Experience with Visual Basic or C++ programming.
- Experience with ATE tester platforms such as Teradyne ETS364/Flex or Advantest.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field is required.
