Staff Product Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for leading New Product Introduction (NPI) and product qualification for GaN power semiconductor devices. The role coordinates cross-functional activities across R&D, design, epitaxy, fabrication, assembly, test and reliability to take products from tape-out to production release.
Experience Level
Senior-level β typically 5β7+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering, or power electronics.
Responsibilities
Lead NPI and coordinate product development, testing and production release. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the NPI process from tape-out to production release.
- Define product requirements and coordinate definition, design, fabrication, testing and qualification.
- Develop NPI plans with marketing, sales, engineering and manufacturing; negotiate schedules to meet customer and resource constraints.
- Schedule and run design reviews; track and communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Analyze test and qualification results and prepare engineering reports.
- Develop screening and qualification methods during NPI.
- Drive root-cause investigations for performance and qualification failures.
- Own and support other related engineering projects as assigned.

Must-have:
- 5β7+ years experience in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering, or power electronics.
- Experience with APQP design review processes, FMEA, NPI and SPC.
- Understanding of process and product development, wafer-level processing, assembly and test methods.
- Experience with engineering databases, automation, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP).
- Strong time-management, initiative, teamwork, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with discrete device testing and semiconductor packaging.
- Experience in power device products (GaN devices preferred).
Education Requirements
