Staff Product Engineer
Role Summary
Lead product engineering for advanced power semiconductor products through silicon bring-up, qualification, production release, and sustaining. Work on improving product quality, yield, reliability, and customer outcomes while coordinating across design, test, manufacturing, and support teams.
This is a 100% onsite role based in Austin supporting high-volume production and customer escalations.
Experience Level
Senior-level; requires 8+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, test engineering, or related roles.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include lifecycle ownership, problem resolution, and driving product and process improvements.
- Own product engineering across silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, release, and sustaining.
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolve complex product, test, and manufacturing issues.
- Drive yield, test efficiency, product performance, and cost-of-quality improvements.
- Define and execute characterization and qualification strategies for robust product release.
- Partner with design and test teams to optimize DFT, test coverage, and bench/ATE/system correlation.
- Analyze yield, parametric, and reliability data to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Lead cross-functional customer issue resolution and manage field escalations.
- Mentor junior engineers and help establish engineering best practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and work conditions.
- 8+ years of relevant semiconductor product or test engineering experience.
- Strong background in power/analog/mixed-signal semiconductor products and production environments.
- Experience with ATE, silicon characterization, and production test flows.
- Proven ability to solve complex yield and reliability issues using data-driven methods.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, JMP, or MATLAB.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to influence decisions through technical judgment and data.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (no visa sponsorship available).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (as stated in the posting).
