Job Title
Staff Product Engineer
Role Summary
Senior product engineer on the product engineering team responsible for test and yield optimization for server and network processor products. The role focuses on debugging, characterizing, and improving digital and analog circuit performance across wafer sort, final test and system-level testing.
The position collaborates closely with design, test, DFT/DFM, hardware and firmware teams and leads test flow and qualification activities for new products and packaging/fab qualifications.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 3+ years of semiconductor product engineering experience (title indicates senior/Staff level).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with design, process, DFM/DFT, and test teams to define and improve test and yield methodology.
- Debug and characterize new product performance for digital and analog circuits.
- Analyze volume data and run lab experiments to diagnose and resolve yield and test issues on the production floor.
- Lead optimization of production test screen specifications to meet yield, quality, test-time and DPPM targets.
- Support RMA testing and customer escalations, working with customer-facing and QnR teams to isolate issues and recommend fixes.
- Define yield and manufacturing specifications for wafer sort, final test, and system-level test (SLT).
- Drive test flow optimization, test-time reduction, and removal of unnecessary insertions.
- Work with design and DFT/DFM groups to enhance test coverage and yield improvement strategies.
- Lead new product qualification activities prior to volume production and during new package/fab qualification.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 3+ years of semiconductor product engineering experience.
- Practical experience with ATE testing and test methodology; experience on Agilent 83K or 93K testers.
