Responsibilities
Accountable for test strategy, execution and optimization across the product lifecycle.
- Define characterization and test coverage strategies during pre-silicon phase.
- Specify pattern requirements and drive design-verification deliveries pre-silicon.
- Execute characterization and test plans on new silicon; lead first-silicon bring-up and debug.
- Perform device characterization, circuit sensitivity analysis; lead root-cause investigations and mitigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to resolve device failures and improve product health.
- Optimize test content and yield during production to meet cost, quality and performance targets.
- Develop and deliver DFT/DFM/test solutions to meet product requirements.
Requirements
Technical competencies and attributes required or preferred for success in this role.
- Must-have: Strong knowledge of DFT and ATE test methodologies; functional test pattern development; pre-silicon simulation and debug.
- Must-have: Experience with EDA tools from Mentor, Synopsys or Cadence.
- Must-have: Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, C++ or similar) for test development and automation.
- Must-have: Knowledge of microprocessor architecture and System-on-Chip (SoC) test considerations.
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on ATE/test-class development experience on Advantest 93k and/or T2K platforms.
- Nice-to-have: Prior semiconductor industry experience across characterization, yield optimization and test cost reduction.
